Research Letter – November 2024
As the weather cools and we spend more time indoors, our latest dispatch reflects our changing surroundings. This letter has a strong tilt toward residential real estate, starting off with an analysis of the UK’s ongoing demand for purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA). We then share insights on how the housing market has become crucial in the political landscapes of Washington and Westminster, building on our previous research paper on the state of build-to-rent (BTR) housing in the UK. We then pivot to hospitality and offices, examining the potential impacts of a slowdown in US economic growth on the European tourism sector as well as the evolving attitudes of institutional investors on the London prime office market.
