Impact & Sustainability

We envision a future in which the built environment enriches our lives, our communities and the planet.

We put our capital to work to promote significant transformation, driving positive, sustainable change to the way people interact with places, and elevating their experiences to make these places more valuable to everyone.

Sustainability considerations are important to all of us, so we have made sustainability an integral component of our operations.

Accountability

We want to ensure that all our stakeholders have visibility on our ESG commitments as well as our progress towards achieving and maintaining them as part of our commitment to adopt the highest standards of governance and accountability.

Key initiatives include:
  • Track and report on the commitments that we make under each pillar

  • Collaborate with like-minded organisations to ensure adherence to the highest sustainability practices

  • Submit to external standards and reporting regimes to undertake an independent assessment of our efforts in line with our peers

Built Environment

We have a clear purpose to create places, products and operating platforms the increase prosperity, opportunity and sustainability. We recognise that the built environment is a key contributor to the global climate crisis.

  • Achieving high sustainability credentials on new developments

  • Sustainable construction and building design

  • Revitalising heritage buildings

  • Implementing green energy

  • Embracing circular economy

  • Thought leadership on sustainability

  • Assessing vendor practices

  • Driving ESG engagement on the ground, with quarterly asset meetings connecting building teams and tenants to deliver impactful initiatives.

Community

We believe our role is to ensure that every building, business and community we’re responsible for becomes more valuable and enriching to everyone. We aim to be a force for good in the communities in which we operate and encourage all our team members in their own philanthropic missions.

Key initiatives include:

  • Continued to support charities in the communities where we develop assets through our Employee Forum.
